Mop can be used for "pierced" designs. One use for this is for keyhole escutcheons, also for intricate inlay. A few examples are shown above. This work would normally be done by hand for one off's or Small quantities.

If you require long runs or absolute accuracy matching each piece in the run Computer controlled cutting may be the answer.
