All our buttons are hand made using natural Mother of Pearl shell. They incorporate the natural contour and pattern of the shell and therefore while the diameters are consistent no two are exactly alike in appearance.The back of the buttons shows the natural green or brown bark of the reverse of the shell. This can be seen on one or two of the buttons shown overturned in the picture above
